Subject: Employment Contract for Assistant Golf Professional,
Harry Dwyer
PURPOSE
To request City Council approval of an employment contract
for Assistant Golf Professional, Harry Dwyer.
BACKGROUND
In 1991, the seasonal golf professionals were put on
contract. This was done in conjunction with a restructuring of
the clubhouse job classifications and descriptions to effect
supervision and to allow for specialized work at odd times of
the day and week.
This program has been successful and should be continued in
1993. Harry Dwyer has done a fine job during the two years he
has worked for the City of Elgin and deserves to remain in the
capacity of Assistant Golf Professional.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost of this contract, $12,000 ( for 36 weeks) is 5%
more than in 1992 and has been included in the fiscal year 1993
budget as approved.
RECOMMENDATION
To recommend City Council approval of the employment
contract for '`T-i. ssistant Golf Professional, Harry Dwyer.
