FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that Robert O. We submit to you our proposal for Engineering Services for the above referenced project. This proposal is based on previous discussions with you and Mr. Warren Tejes of this firm. We will make all necessary field trips to the site to determine the existing conditions of the Pistol Range Ventilation/Exhaust System for evaluation and recommendations. We will prepare a report on the evaluation of the existing Pistol Range ventilation/exhaust system with recommendations on upgrading the Pistol Range ventilation/exhaust system. The report will include cost esti- mates on the recommended upgrading work (Construction cost and Engineer- ing fees). We propose to provide the above outlined Engineering Services for a fee based on hourly rates times direct personnel expenses and a payroll cost multiplier of 2.5. Our fees for basic professional services for the above Engineering Services shall not exceed $3500.00 (Three thousand five hundred dollars) . The above fee includes five copies of the report; additional copies will be reproduced at additional cost; for these you will be billed at cost without mark-up. The first item to be addressed in this project is the complete analysis of the pistol range ventilation and exhaust system from an engineering perspective for evaluation and recommendations. • Attached to this memorandum is a letter from Mr. Warren Tejes of Klaucens & Associates, Inc. , a consulting engineering firm with expertise in ven- tilation and exhaust work. The letter proposes engineering services re- sulting in a report on the evaluation of the existing range ventilation/ exhaust system and appropriate recommendations. Klaucens' fee for these basic professional services shall not exceed $3,500. I recommend that this proposal from Klaucens & Associates be accepted. I request that this matter be brought to the attention of the City Council at their August 26, 1985, meeting for their review and disposition.
