HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-0614 Urban Renewal Plan RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AMENDMENT OF THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Elgin has heretofore adopted an urban renewal plan; and WHEREAS, said plan provides for a fifteen Toot yard requirement along the periphery of the project area; and WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to consider amending the plan by reducing the yard requirement to five feet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that a public hearing shall be held by the City Council of the City of Elgin in the City Council Chambers, 1S0 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois, on June 28, 1978 at 8:00 p.m. to consider amendment of the urban renewal plan of the City of Elgin to reduce required yards from fifteen to five feet. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Daily Courier-News not less than seven days prior to the date set for the public hearing. s/ Richard L. These im- provements have been reviewed in terms of the land use provisions, building requirements and additional regulations mandated by the Urban Renewal Plan, Code Number R-213 as amended, Central Area Redevelopment Project, Elgin, Illinois, Ill. No. R-44. We find these improvements are in compliance with the conditions stated in the Urban Renewal Plan, and under terms of the Quit Claim Deed executed by the City of Elgin with the Gail Borden Library, we issue this Certificate of Compliance.
