HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-0109 Erwin Jentsch City pursuant to a resolution passed January 9, 1974 authorizing
its City Manager to enter into an agreement with Attorney for legal services
hereby retains a temporary attorney to act, under the title of Corporation
Counsel, as attorney for City for a monthly retainer of $700.
In consideration of said retainer, Attorney shall render the
following legal services:
1. Attend all regular City Council meetings unless excused
by the City Manager;
2. Attend all special meetings of the City Council as requested
by the City Manager;
3. Prepare legislation;
4. Prepare, review and approve contracts and other legal documents
upon the request of the City Manager;
S. Supervise and direct the Assistant Corporation Counsel
in the performance of his duties;
6. Render written opinions and advice to the Mayor and City
Council, the City Manager and Department Heads of City as required.
Attorney shall also institute and defend litigation involving the
City as directed by the City Manager and authorized by the City Council.
Attorney shall be compensated for such services in addition to the
monthly retainer described above as follows:
1. Court appearances at the rate of $50 per hour;
2. Preparation and other office activities at the rate of $35
per hour.
Attorney shall undertake such special assessment proceedings as may
be authorized by the City Council and shall be compensated as authorized by
the City Council.

Compensation for said services shall be at the rate of $35 per hour.
This agreement may be terminated upon 30 days written notice by
either party and may be amended at any time as the parties hereto may agree.
